Keynotes and sermons to revive purpose and reignite passion.
Your audience leaves knowing why God has them where He has them, and what to do about it.
Conferences, churches, Christian business groups and retreats.
How many times have you watched a talk move the room and change nothing? The applause is real. People leave stirred. And by the next week, can anyone name what they were supposed to do with it?
Inspiration without a next step evaporates.
My promise to you
Your audience leaves knowing what to do tomorrow and the week after. They won’t just feel something. They’ll have a next step they can name.
Your audience leaves ready to put their faith to work where they already lead, in their job, their home, their church.
And you get what every planner wants: a room that’s glad they came, and a speaker who made your job easier, not harder.
Talks
Lead On Purpose, For a Purpose
Leading the push back on mediocrity to advance God’s Kingdom
Leading on autopilot always costs more than it saves. This talk walks your audience through the three pillars God uses to build Purpose, Identity, Vision and Mission, drawn from Ephesians 1 and Psalm 139. Not another leadership checklist. A path back to clarity, presence and a sense of self, so they lead the way God created them to.
Amplify Your Purpose
Take your purpose to new heights
Purposeful energy is hard to sustain. The daily grind of managing and organizing your team wears you down, and leaders end up burned out or walking away from work they once loved. This talk covers the three amplifiers God gives to sustain Purpose over a career, not just a season. Community, Rest and Growth, and what it takes to build each one into how you lead.
The Price of Influence
Growing your influence with those you lead
Every leader wants more influence, but few know what it costs. You want to move your team from where they are to where they need to be without demanding your way there, and telling only takes you so far. Influence is built in the daily moments with the people you lead. This talk walks your audience through the cycle Jesus modeled in Philippians 2: influence grows through presence, presence takes love, love is sacrifice, and sacrifice is leadership, which starts the cycle again.
The Long Game
Drawing, investing and multiplying the next generation
The leaders who win the long game do three things with the generation coming behind them. They draw, invest and multiply.
I’ve done it in both worlds. A decade in youth ministry, then church planting and pastoring that impacted the next generation. And in the marketplace, leading the intern program at the Professional Referee Organization and developing officials where three quarters of the roster was under 25. This talk gives your audience a way to develop the next generation so what they started keeps going without them.
Formats
Keynotes. Conferences and events, opening or closing.
Sermons. Sunday morning or a weekend series.
Workshops and breakouts. Longer format where your people work, not just listen.
Retreats. Men’s, college, youth, weekend or overnight.
Anywhere from a 20-minute TED-style talk to a 60-minute keynote, or a half or full day for workshops and retreats. Most of these work virtually too.
After the room empties
Here’s what the talk doesn’t have to be: the end of it.
Every attendee leaves with something in hand. A handout that takes what they heard and gives them somewhere to put it, so the next step has a place to live.
Beyond that, there’s The Purpose Course, a 40-session workbook that walks leaders through discovering and living out their Purpose over eight weeks. And The Weekly Huddle gives your people 15 minutes a week to keep Hearing & Following Jesus long after your event is over.
Some events hand the Course to every attendee. Some point their people to the Huddle from the stage. Some do nothing beyond the handout. We’ll figure out what fits when we talk.

What to expect
A pre-event call to shape the message around your event and your audience. These talks already exist in church and marketplace versions, so customizing isn’t a stretch.
Promotion of your event to my audience, if it’s open to the public.
A talk that draws your people closer to God and what He’s asking of them.
Time before and after to engage with your attendees, not just show up and leave.
A speaker who makes your job easier. No extra stress, no special requests, no chasing me for details.
About Shane
I’ve spent 25+ years leading in churches, organizations and as a business owner. A decade in youth ministry. Church planting and pastoring. Running the intern program at the Professional Referee Organization and officiating at the professional level. Somewhere in there, four teenagers at the same time.
What ties it together is a conviction I can’t shake: most leaders are capable of more than they’re settling for, and the gap isn’t effort. It’s that nobody ever helped them name why they’re there.
I’m a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths coach, I write The Weekly Huddle, and I built The Purpose Course out of 25 years of watching leaders run hard in their own strength until something gave.
I’m Shane Kennard, based in Springfield, Missouri, and I’d love to be part of your event.
Your event is one date on your calendar and a hundred decisions you’ve already made. The speaker shouldn’t be the one you worry about.
Let’s talk about what your audience needs, and whether I’m the right fit for it.
